Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight5/8/2023 ![]() ![]() Although, in the case of Den of Vipers, Roxy is forced to be with the male characters. First, it’s a Reverse Harem where the FMC doesn’t have to choose from the male characters. Storyline/My Thoughts: I’m going to admit, too, that this book was not a favorite, but I did like some aspects of it. I found a new author to add to my long list of authors I have to check for backlist/new releases. ![]() I know some readers are hesitant to take recommendations from BookTok. To be honest, I read Den of Vipers because of BookTok. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. The Vipers? I’m going to make them regret the day they took me. They can own my body, but they will never have my heart. They want everything I am, everything I have to give, and won’t stop until they get just that. Their scarred, blood-stained hands holding me tight. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. ![]() Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel-The Vipers. ![]() The shattered sea series5/8/2023 ![]() ![]() He cannot grip a shield or swing an axe, so he must sharpen his mind to a deadly edge. What is life paul nurse review5/8/2023 ![]() On the one hand, it provides an excellent narration of scientific discoveries about life. The book is a perfect example of pure science mixed with a perplexing ideology. Does he have a definite answer? I’m not sure- even after reading his book. However, he is perhaps one of the most qualified given the fact that he has studied nothing but living cells in his lifetime. Of course, he was neither the first nor the last person who attempted to define life. Paul Nurse, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on the Cell Cycle, decided to write a book to address this age-old question. Even scientists- who have dedicated their whole lives to this question- do not know either. However, we still do not know what life is. ![]() In fact, we are made of trillions of tiny living beings called cells. We, as living beings, are fully immersed in life. What is life? At sixteen she was sent to England, where she studied to be an actress.
